Job summary

Henry Ford Health System in Detroit is seeking a patient registration professional to manage new patient registration, verify insurance eligibility and handle inquiries from callers and patients. You will act as a welcoming front door, advocating for patient needs and maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with prefered EPIC training and ICD-10 terminology experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience related to patient admitting, registration and/or insurance eligibility and verification preferred.
• EPIC training/experience preferred.
• ICD-10 medical terminology experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities over the phone, in person and in writing with patients and staff.
• Willingness to instruct others and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Register new patients and update registration and insurance information.
• Respond to inquiries from callers/customers.
• Advocate on behalf of callers/customers to ensure needs are met.
• Serve as a welcoming front door for callers and maintain effective customer relationship management.
