Job summary

Maryville Imaging, LLC is seeking a Patient Access Associate to greet patients, collect demographic and insurance information, and register them for services. You will review forms, obtain signatures, and ensure records are complete and scanned properly.

The role includes handling payments, coordinating with pre-arrival staff, and guiding patients through the registration process with a focus on privacy and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Typing speed of 40–50 wpm required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills essential.
• Proficient computer and strong organizational skills expected.
• Prior Patient Access experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect demographic and insurance information for registration.
• Determine scheduled vs. unscheduled status and assist pre-arrival processes.
• Enter data accurately into registration system and scan documents.
• Explain forms, obtain signatures, and file paperwork in imaging records.
• Request and verify physician orders and ensure completion of records.
• Identify patient financial responsibility and refer to financial assistance as needed.
• Post payments and balance cash at end of shift, secure monies.
• Notify relevant staff of patient arrival and maintain downtime procedures.
• Assist with other patient access functions as needed.
