Job summary

Providence Tarzana Medical Center is seeking an organized patient access professional to register patients, interview guarantors, and explain hospital policies in a friendly, efficient manner.

You will gather demographic and financial information for the ADT system, determine payor sources, and ensure pre-certification when required to meet payer protocols. This role supports the revenue cycle with accurate data and strong guest services.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• California Fire and Life Safety Card required within 30 days of hire.
• Some College coursework preferred.
• Certified Patient Account Tech certification preferred.
• 2 years of hospital/clinical/physician office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients in a pleasant, professional, timely manner.
• Conducts patient/guarantor interviews and explains policies.
• Obtains demographic and financial data for ADT system.
• Identifies payor source for revenue routing during stay.
• Secures pre-certification/authorization per payor protocols.
