Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a patient access professional to coordinate patient flow and registration in the Swedish Medical Center and Emergency Department environment. You will provide front line customer service, interview patients for demographics and financial data, complete consents, escort patients, and handle billing questions.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree.
• 2 years of experience in a medical setting with inpatient or outpatient admitting.
• Patient Registration or financial counseling or insurance and medical terminology experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow and registration for Swedish Medical Center and Emergency Department.
• Provide front line customer service including reception and Registration.
• Interviews patients and families to obtain demographics and financial data, completes consents, escorts patients.
• Assist patients with financial aid programs and insurance/billing questions; refer to staff for coverage options.
