Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable with computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Medical terminology/prior experience with healthcare.
• High school diploma/GED preferred from an accredited school.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients or responsible party to collect personal, demographic, insurance, and medical information.
• Assigns insurance coverages based on eligibility; explains plan benefits and authorization status.
• Creates a transparent financial experience, estimates preservice, explains patient liability, and collects payments.
• Transcribes and validates orders; schedules walk-in appointments.
• Advocates for patient engagement, including activation of MyChart.
• Monitors environment and attends to patients, families and visitors to ensure a positive registration experience.
• Assists with wayfinding and connecting patients to care.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
