Job summary

OhioHealth in Kentucky is seeking a patient access registrar to begin the Revenue Cycle by collecting accurate demographic and financial information to produce clean claims. You will provide exceptional customer service during encounters with patients and families, and support registration across multiple care sites, while maintaining confidentiality.

This role supports the Main Registration department, works variable shifts, and contributes to team goals and efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with EMR systems preferred.
• One to two years of experience in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient in EMR system.
• Registers patients and collects accurate demographic and financial information.
• Provides exceptional customer service during encounters with patients, families, visitors, and physicians.
• Uses CPT codes to select appropriate codes from clinical descriptions.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and secures authorizations.
• Transcribes ancillary orders and schedules outpatients.
