The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Patient Registration Representative for the MOB LAB in the Medical Pavilion. This full-time role handles inpatient and outpatient registrations, collects co-pays, and ensures accurate demographic and insurance data for each patient encounter.

You will greet patients, verify information, and enter it into the system with care, while adhering to Medicare/Medicaid and other insurance requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED is required.
• 1+ years of experience in clerical, registration and/or customer service within a health care setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform inpatient/outpatient registrations for the Health System.
• Obtain patient identification, demographics and financial information to register and secure the encounter.
• Collect co-payments or deposits as required and balance cash drawer daily.
• Explain facility policies and ensure consent and insurance forms are correctly completed.
• Enter accurate information into the computer system with correct spelling and MIR/MRN details.
• Provide coverage across areas of Admitting and support hospital operations as needed.
