Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital is hiring for a full-time Patient Access Representative to manage the pre-registration process, collect copays, and gather patient demographic and insurance information. The role includes directing patients to financial counseling when needed and ensuring records are accurate and payments processed.

Training is provided with orientation; shifts are day hours, starting early in the morning.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances.
• Patient access hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registration for patient admissions.
• Obtain approvals and payments on site.
• Explain insurance and private pay liabilities; refer patients for financial counseling.
• Enter/update patient demographic information and post payments; complete reconciliation reports.
