Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Center is seeking a Registration Specialist to coordinate information and support for patient flow within the Swedish Medical Center and Emergency Department. You will provide front line customer service including reception and Registration, interviewing patients and families to collect demographic and financial data, and obtaining consents.

You will also escort patients, direct them through the process, and handle deposits while serving as a main contact for billing

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required or equivalent work experience in healthcare admissions.
• 2 years' experience in a medical setting with inpatient or outpatient admitting.
• Patient Registration or financial counseling or insurance and medical terminology experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate information and support for patient flow in Swedish Medical Center and Emergency Department.
• Provide front line customer service including reception and Registration.
• Interview patients and families to obtain demographic and financial data, and obtain consents.
• Escort and direct patients, collect valuables and deposits as needed.
• Serve as a liaison for billing, insurance or collection questions and assist with financial aid and alternate coverage options.
