Job summary

Wayne UNC Health Care is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to ensure accurate registration records and clear patient financial information. You will support check-in, verify demographics, and post payments while delivering outstanding service to patients and families in person and over the phone.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma, knowledge of medical terminology, and experience with EPIC. Per diem, onsite at WAYNE MED, with day shifts and strong customer service expectations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and multitask with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Verifies demographics and PCP information.
• Collects and posts patient payments.
• Completes check-in in Epic and scans insurance documents.
• Explains financial responsibilities to patients and assists with financial aid.
• Maintains professional customer service in all interactions.
