Job summary

Allina Health's Edina Family Physicians clinic is hiring a Clinic Business Representative to deliver welcoming patient registration at in-person or phone contacts. You will collect demographic and financial data, enter into the electronic medical record, and support scheduling, no-shows, and documentation needs.

This 1.0 FTE, 8-hour day shift requires 2+ years of customer service and computer skills; Excel preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer knowledge including working with an electronic medical record and Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook) required; Excel preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service, clerical, or business environment experience in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming patients in person or by phone during check-in.
• Collecting demographic and insurance information and entering into the EMR.
• Assist patients with telephone encounters and scheduling needs.
• Process payments and explain financial assistance options; perform End of Day reconciliation.
• Handle medical records tasks via RightFax and Release of Information requests.
• Maintain lobby cleanliness and assist with office communications as needed.
