Job summary

Allina Health Faribault is seeking a Clinic Business Representative Associate to welcome patients, register them accurately, and set the tone for quality care. You will greet patients in person or by phone and collect demographic and financial information.

This 1.0 FTE day/evening role includes cash handling, end-of-day reconciliation, lobby organization, and support across the department. Strong customer service and computer skills are required; MS Office experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
• Minimum 1 year computer knowledge
• Customer service, clerical, or other business office environment experience
• Medical terminology knowledge
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Greets, welcomes, and performs the registration process with patients in person or by phone
• Collects demographic and insurance information and enters data into electronic medical records
• Assists patients with telephone encounters and answers questions regarding financial assistance programs
• Directs patients to appointment or procedure and handles co-pays or remaining balances
• May schedule appointments and help with office communication needs such as answering and transferring calls
