UHC United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, West Virginia, is seeking an administrative registrar to manage patient registration and financial obligations. The role involves collecting demographic and billing information, handling insurance questions, and supporting pre-certifications as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in a high-volume hospital setting. 40 hours per week, Day shift, on-site employment.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain demographic/billing/insurance information and enter into registration and billing systems for service and claim processing; provide patients with information on insurance and payment procedures.
• May complete managed care responsibilities for pre-certification and authorizations.
• Prepare WVU Medicine standard consent forms and notices of privacy practice and obtain signatures; obtain electronic consent to treat and patient financial obligations.
• Collect deposits, co-payments, deductibles, and patient liability payments; provide receipts and document payments in systems.
• Balance daily receipts and cash drawer; monitor system flags and follow up as needed.
