Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• NAHAM CHAA certification preferred.
• 1 year of experience with insurance and patient accounts preferred.
• Typing, basic PC skills, math and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, register, and pre-register patients accurately and completely.
• Handle assigned reports and work queues.
• Obtain required pre-authorizations when needed.
• Interface with patient care departments to provide Patient Access information.
• Perform inpatient admission functions including direct admits and ED admissions.
• Collect patient demographics and MSP information for Medicare.
• Verify patient identification and insurance eligibility.
• Enter complete and accurate data in the system.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
