Job summary

Memorial Physician Practices is seeking a Patient Access Representative to collect patient demographics, insurance and financial information for outpatient and inpatient admissions. You will verify benefits, obtain authorizations when needed, and collect co-pays/deductibles to expedite the admission process.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Register patients with accurate demographic and insurance data.
• Explain forms, documents, and educational handouts to patients and families.
• Verify insurance benefits and obtain precertification/authorization as needed.
• Collect co-pays and deductibles at the point of service.
• Communicate professionally in person and by phone, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality in all registration activities.
• Support performance improvement initiatives and required education.
• Work alternate shifts or areas to support department operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
