Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Western Massachusetts seeks a part-time Patient Access Representative for the Emergency Department. The role covers pre-registration, registration and admission processes to ensure smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include verifying insurance, collecting co-pays, data entry in the Meditech system, and coordinating bed assignments and vital records for patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; college preferred.
• Medical terminology skills.
• Relevant medical office, hospital / physicians billing or patient registration experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service, verbal communication and interpersonal skills required.

Position Purpose
