Job summary

Ashtabula Regional Medical Center in Ohio is seeking a Manager of Registration in a managerial, full-time role at the Central Registration department. The position oversees patient access, collecting demographic, medical, insurance and financial information to complete medical necessity forms and copays at time of service.

The Manager provides guidance to caregivers to achieve positive customer relations while ensuring compliance with Health Information Services and Patient Financial Services,

Qualifications

• High school diploma with associate degree preferred.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills; strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Medical terminology experience; EPIC knowledge preferred.
• Minimum 3 years related experience; call center/medical office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Central Registration to ensure prompt patient access to hospital and ambulatory services.
• Direct daily gathering of demographics, medical data, insurance and financial information; ensure forms are complete and compliant.
• Coach caregivers to improve customer relations and ensure regulatory compliance; implement policies and procedures.
• Coordinate department with other units and scheduling; manage IT tickets and supply requisitions.
• Monitor quality, participate in denial management; ensure patient satisfaction and fiscal accountability.
