Job summary

The Aultman Health Foundation is seeking a patient registrar to support inpatient and outpatient registration processes in Canton, OH. The role involves data entry into Medipac, verifying insurance eligibility, completing Medicare questionnaires, screening for medical necessity, and assisting with financial screening for uninsured patients.

You will work 24/7 with the clinical staff, manage ED admissions and records, coordinate with AultWorks for workers' compensation cases, and ensure data

Qualifications

• High school diploma minimum.
• Typing speed of at least 35 wpm.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is helpful.
• Ability to stay calm and accurate in stressful situations.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and manner.

Responsibilities

• Enter and/or verify all information into Medipac registration system.
• Verify insurance eligibility using electronic verification systems.
• Complete Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire for every Medicare patient.
• Screen all Medicare outpatient lab patients for medical necessity.
• Offer financial assistance and perform quick financial screening for uninsured patients.
• Enter admissions for any ED admission.
• Update departed emergency patients.
• Tear down and assemble ED records.
• Coordinate with AultWorks for workers' compensation patients.
• Document billing and insurance notes in the MPAC system.
• Ensure MPAC and Cerner systems stay in sync at all times.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of MPAC, Cerner (FirstNet and SugiNet), AultWorks, RevRunner, RQI, Bed Tracking, HealthWorks Compliance Checker.
