Baptist Health Medical Group in Crestwood, KY, is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator for our Primary Care team. This full-time, first shift role focuses on creating a welcoming experience for patients from arrival and during calls, while supporting efficient office operations.

You will register patients, verify insurance, discuss financial responsibilities, and handle payment collection with care and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
• Strong computer and data entry skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone.
• Register patients accurately by collecting demographic, insurance, and visit information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient benefits before appointments.
• Pre-register patients and discuss insurance benefits and financial responsibilities.
• Calculate patient responsibility estimates and collect point-of-service payments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.
• Use registration software to support efficient office operations.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Complete ongoing education and training requirements.
• Support the team with additional administrative duties.
