You will welcome patients, verify eligibility, pre-register, discuss benefits, collect payments, and maintain accurate records using registration software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone.
• Register patients accurately by collecting demographic, insurance, and visit information.
• Verify insurance eligibility, Medicare compliance, and patient benefits before appointments.
• Pre-register patients and discuss insurance benefits and financial responsibilities.
• Calculate patient responsibility estimates and collect point-of-service payments while explaining payment options.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.
• Utilize registration software to support efficient office operations.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations related to patient access services.
• Complete ongoing education and training requirements.
• Support the team with additional administrative duties as needed.
