Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work 40 hours/week with the listed schedule.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Experience in Customer Service roles is preferred.
• Experience in a hospital patient registration department, physician offices or medical setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain demographics, billing, and insurance information and complete all registration steps.
• Locate and process provider requisitions and determine insurance eligibility.
• Determine patient payment and collect payment on insured and self-pay accounts.
• Obtain signatures for necessary paperwork including financial agreements and medical release.
• Demonstrate knowledge of EMTALA regulations and ensure compliance with policies.
