Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Registrar to gather and enter patient demographics into our hospital information system, verify benefits, obtain authorization, and collect co-pays and deposits. This role requires accurate data entry, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

One year of medical clinic or admittance experience is preferred, with a High School diploma.

Qualifications

• Gathers and enters patient demographic information into the hospital information system.
• Verifies benefits, obtains required authorization, collects co-pays and deposits.
• Demonstrates strong communication and ability to handle potentially stressful tasks.

Responsibilities

• Enter demographic, financial, insurance and clinical information into the computer system.
• Obtain signatures on consent and regulatory documents; process paperwork.
• Identify and collect co-pays, deductibles and deposits; assist with billing issues as needed.
• Provide referrals and payment options for financial assistance.
• Offer general office support including phones, scheduling, typing, filing.
