UCI Health in Irvine is seeking a front-line Referral Center Coordinator to build and maintain relationships with internal and external referral entities, including medical groups, IPAs, health plans, and community physicians.

The role requires strong communication, high-volume telephone handling, knowledge of hospital registration/scheduling systems, and the ability to problem-solve and remain professional in stressful situations.

Formación

• Working knowledge of MS Office products.
• Understanding of medical terminology as well as insurance programs and payors.
• Minimum 1 to 2 years experience in a Customer Service position within the health care environment.
• Knowledge of hospital based registration/scheduling system to register patients.
• Demonstrated skill to communicate via telephone and handle extremely high volume of phone calls.
• Ability to problem solve, negotiate and research for answers.
• Ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to appropriately deal with stressful situations and individuals while remaining calm and professional.
