Job summary

Tampa Family Health Centers, Inc. is seeking a Registration Referral Specialist in Tampa, Florida. The role blends front-office registration with referral coordination to ensure seamless patient access and timely referrals.

You will verify demographics and insurance, schedule appointments, manage referrals and authorizations, and educate patients on coverage and processes. This is a full-time, non-exempt position supporting the Medical Support team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum two years in medical registration, front-office operations, or similar.
• Experience with insurance eligibility verification and referral processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify demographics and insurance eligibility.
• Coordinate referrals and obtain authorizations.
• Schedule appointments and manage flow at front desk.
• Collect copayments and explain financial policies.
• Maintain accurate patient and referral documentation in the EHR.
• Provide excellent customer service and patient engagement.
