Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in a hospital or customer service setting.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Proficient typing/keyboard skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments and enters data accurately.
• Obtains demographic, insurance and financial information from patients.
• Explains forms to patients and obtains signatures.
• Ensures medical necessity compliance by collecting data and communicating with patients.
• Collects patient liability and discusses payment options.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits and secures authorizations.
• Posts payments in the system and issues receipts.
• Monitors and resolves patient account issues.
• Communicates professionally with physicians, staff, insurers and families.
• Adheres to policies, budgets, and quality standards.
• Supports growth and serves as a mentor to peers.
• Provides compassionate, personalized experiences.
