Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments and enters information in the system.
• Verifies demographics, insurance and financial information.
• Enters data accurately in the computer system.
• Explains forms to patients and obtains signatures.
• Ensures medical necessity compliance by obtaining necessary data and signatures.
• Collects patient liability and discusses payment options.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits and monitors timeframes.
• Posts payments and generates patient receipts.
• Maintains professional communication with staff, physicians and patients.
• Completes accurate documentation and adheres to policies.
• Contributes to department goals and ongoing professional growth.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
