• Obtains demographic, insurance and financial information; enters data with high accuracy.
• Explains required forms to patients and obtains signatures.
• Ensures medical necessity compliance by obtaining data and communicating with patients.
• Collects patient liability, discusses payment options, and screens for eligibility.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits; completes notifications and authorizations within timeframes.
• Posts payments and generates patient receipts.
• Monitors and resolves patient account issues on assigned reports.
• Communicates professionally with physicians, departments, staff, insurers and patients; documents thoroughly.
