Surgical Institute of Reading seeks a full-time Registration Clerk to provide comprehensive patient access and medical records support across multiple departments. The role requires accuracy in registration, insurance verification, and chart management, with a focus on patient flow and confidentiality.

The candidate will float between locations, support PAT workflows, and assist with front office duties as needed, contributing to efficient operations and high-quality patient service.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and verifies demographics, insurance, and procedure information.
• Collects co-payments and confirms financial responsibility.
• Greets visitors and manages front desk flow and waiting areas.
• Answers calls professionally and routes them appropriately.
• Maintains, organizes, and audits medical records for accuracy and completion.
• Prepares pre-operative charts and ensures documentation is complete.
• Pulls, files, and distributes charts for physicians and staff.
• Scans post-operative documents into the EHR accurately.
• Verifies patient identifiers and document completeness prior to scanning.
• Coordinates scheduling and documentation readiness for PAT workflows.
• Cross-trains to support multiple office functions and covers staffing gaps.
