AppleOne Employment Services is hiring a Patient Access Specialist in Orlando, FL, for a temp-to-hire role within a fast-paced healthcare operations team. You will verify insurance benefits, obtain prior authorizations, and guide cases through to completion while communicating with insurers and internal staff.

The position offers 100% onsite work for the initial 120 days, a Monday–Friday schedule, and a structured training period.

Qualifications

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patient testing services.
• Obtain prior authorizations and resolve insurance coverage issues.
• Track, document, and follow up on open cases through completion.
• Communicate with insurance carriers through phone calls and online portals.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred in patient access or healthcare support.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage requirements for diagnostic and specialty testing services.
• Obtain prior authorizations and help resolve insurance coverage issues using phone calls and online portals.
• Track open cases, document updates accurately, and follow up until issues are resolved.
• Communicate professionally with insurance companies, internal teams, and other stakeholders.
• Handle questions, escalations, and case updates while meeting quality, accuracy, and productivity expectations.
• Follow established procedures to support timely patient access and efficient healthcare operations.
