Qualifications

• Expertise in patient access and healthcare enrollment processes.
• Strong knowledge of insurance benefits and billing basics.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and privacy rules.
• Ability to communicate professionally with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven customer service experience in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Perform Medicare compliance reviews and issue ABNs as needed.
• Create accurate estimates for patient financial responsibility and collect payments.
• Coordinate with utilization management for pre-authorizations.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and obtain pre-authorizations.
• Register patients for services and ensure accuracy of records.
• Collect demographic and insurance details; minimize duplication of records.
• Provide coverage across assigned work areas during shifts.
• Coordinate between clinical, ancillary, and access teams to enhance patient experience.
• Deliver excellent customer service and document conversations with payers.
• Attend department meetings and promote positive team dialogue.
• Provide PBX coverage and perform cashiering tasks as needed.
