Banner Lassen Medical Center in Susanville, CA is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to greet patients, verify insurance, and process registrations with a focus on accurate documentation and compliant practices.

You’ll collaborate with clinical teams to improve patient flow, collect liabilities, and help patients understand their financial options, including payment plans and Banner Financial Assistance where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Customer service experience in healthcare or financial services.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of payer guidelines and benefits is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Verifies patient demographics and inputs into the EHR to maximize reimbursement and minimize denials.
• Proficiently verifies insurance benefits and authorizations.
• Provides excellent customer service and assists with financial counseling.
• Explains patient financial liability and sets up payment plans.
• Collaborates with clinical teams to optimize patient flow and satisfaction.
• Documents accurately and uses multiple systems for intake/record-keeping.
