Job summary

Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County is seeking a Scheduling/Prior Authorization Representative to support compassionate care. You will schedule Medical Imaging, Cardiopulmonary Services, Sleep Lab, Nutrition Services, and Vascular Clinics per guidelines, and handle demographic/insurance data and pre-authorizations.

Role requires strong customer service, data entry accuracy, and familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a high volume of patient interactions in person and by phone in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes.
• Proficiency in using computers and electronic health record applications.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments for Medical Imaging, Cardiopulmonary Services, Sleep Lab, Nutrition Services, and Vascular Clinics.
• Collect and maintain accurate demographic and insurance information and verify eligibility.
• Review benefits and limitations and secure timely pre-authorizations using CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients about financial expectations and needs.
• Coordinate referrals and identify patients needing financial counseling or assistance.
