Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years in insurance, medical records, coding or billing.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with patient service focus.
• Knowledge of CPT codes, ICD-10 and insurance verification processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and multiple EMR/scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-registration by contacting patients and collecting demographics and insurance details.
• Verify insurance eligibility via online systems or payer websites and by phone.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments by phone.
• Explain billing procedures and provide relevant literature to patients.
• Balance daily receipts and maintain registration accuracy per audit standards.
• Use multiple software platforms to support patient care and revenue cycle tasks.
