Job summary

Beacon Health System is seeking a patient registration specialist to admit and register patients, verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays in a timely manner. You will work with scheduling systems and ensure accurate data entry and documentation while upholding Beacon Health System values.

Qualifications

• Requires basic office and keyboarding skills and the ability to type.
• Strong telephone communication skills for patient interaction.
• Proficient computer skills and experience with multiple databases.
• Experience with time-of-service collections and patient billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect co-payments and deductibles.
• Verify insurance and determine patient eligibility.
• Enter patient information into financial systems accurately.
• Coordinate pre-certification information with insurers and physicians.
• Prepare patient charts, IDs and labels for medical records.
• Provide courteous world-class service and maintain confidentiality.
