Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Patient Assistance Pharmacy Technician Specialist I to help patients access high-cost medications through manufacturer programs, including copay assistance. You will coordinate with patients, clinics, pharmacies, manufacturers and internal teams to complete applications and follow up on access.

Responsibilities include completing area-specific tasks, maintaining accurate records, and supporting communications with care teams.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required and healthcare/pharmacy exposure is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills to assist patients.
• Ability to handle confidential information and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Completes area-specific work per standard processes and policies.
• Acts as an expert with equipment and technology in the specialized area.
• Documents and maintains accurate records; coordinates with patients and care teams.
• Supports process improvements and contributes to site and system standardization.
• Travels between pharmacy locations as needed.
