Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• For NC with validating technician responsibilities, an Associate’s Degree in Pharmacy Technology is required.
• 3 years of experience in health care, insurance, pharmacy, or medical background.
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must communicate clearly and be understood by others.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Organizational skills and ability to prepare and reconcile reports.
• Ability to protect confidentiality and travel between pharmacy locations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard call center systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete area-specific work per standard processes and policies.
• Serve as expert with equipment and technology in the area.
• Problem solve technical issues as they arise.
• Maintain accurate records in a timely fashion.
• Support communication with patients and care team.
• Identify quality improvement opportunities to enhance safety and patient care.
• Support operational changes and site/system standardization.
• Participate in site or system work teams, committees, and councils.
• Comply with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Keep knowledge up-to-date and contribute to education of others.
• Contribute to pharmacy department initiatives.
• Accept assignments from other pharmacy teammate roles when workload dictates.
