Job summary

MU Health Care is seeking a dynamic leader to guide the Patient Access – Central Check In team at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. This role focuses on building high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, and enhancing the patient experience through data-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate will mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, manage departmental KPIs, and lead with integrity to deliver service excellence across a complex health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, or related area.
• Five (5) years of healthcare experience.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clinical and operational departments across the health system to meet the health system's goals, including revenue outcomes, operational efficiencies, and patient experience.
• Monitor and report on key metrics and department productivity, including point of service collections, eligibility accuracy and denial rates, patient safety events, and registration accuracy.
• Complete root cause analyses and implement operational plans and interventions to achieve departmental KPIs defined by Revenue Cycle Leadership and industry standards.
• Define, implement, and communicate clear quality and productivity standards across all areas of responsibility.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop Hospital Patient Access staff and manage staffing to meet hours of operation and budget.
