Job summary

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Manager of Patient Access Services at Mount Sinai Morningside. You will oversee day-to-day registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance across assigned service areas, ensuring HIPAA compliance and patient-centered access.

Lead supervisors, collaborate with IT (EPIC) and Revenue Cycle, drive process improvements, onboarding, and staff development in a unionized environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience in Patient Access or revenue cycle operations within a hospital or large health system.
• Experience with EPIC is preferred.
• Experience working in a unionized healthcare environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Patient Access operations across assigned service areas to ensure accurate registration, insurance capture, and compliance.
• Monitor performance metrics related to productivity, accuracy, and quality; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Identify workflow gaps and lead process improvements to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
• Ensure onboarding and regulatory training (including AIDET) for staff.
• Collaborate with IT and Revenue Cycle teams to optimize EPIC workflows.
• Supervise, coach, and develop Patient Access supervisors, leads, and frontline staff.
• Ensure HIPAA privacy and security compliance.
• Foster accountability and service excellence; manage staff performance per 1199 agreements.
