Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks an Access Manager to lead operations within the NMHC Access Division in Glenview, Grayslake, Deerfield, Vernon Hills, and Gurnee. The role requires coordinating capital and operating budgets, staff leadership, and process improvements to support patient access and financial counseling services.

The position includes an on-call rotating schedule with mid-morning and late afternoon hours, reporting to the NMHC Access Division, and collaborating with medical leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Care or related field.
• Progressive leadership experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient problem solving and decision making skills.

Responsibilities

• Establishes, implements, and monitors the unit's capital and operating budget.
• Recruits and retains staff aligned with HR plan.
• Develops systems for responsible use of resources.
• Defines and advances support systems (Telecom, Scheduling, Registration).
• Ensures staff training and development to optimize efficiency.
• Tracks performance against KPIs and provides coaching.
