US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities seeks a detail-oriented Patient Access Coordinator to manage new patient registrations, referrals, and scheduling. You will verify demographics and insurance while coordinating with clinicians to ensure timely, accurate onboarding for oncology care.

Responsibilities include liaison work between providers and patients, eligibility verification, and maintaining compliant records.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years patient access and/or referral management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PMS and EHR platforms is preferred.
• Proficiency with medical terminology and insurance benefits verification.
• Must complete onboarding courses within 45 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between referring providers, clinical teams, and new patients for coordination of care.
• Manage new patient referrals and scheduling according to department standards.
• Follow up with providers to obtain missing records and ensure onboarding readiness.
• Collect and verify patient demographics, insurance, and referral information for registration.
• Review HIPAA compliance and maintain data integrity in the practice system.
• Adjust physician schedules to accommodate new patient appointments and rescheduling needs.
• Escalate complex issues to supervisors to ensure timely resolution and patient satisfaction.
