CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to support the clinic’s patient intake process. You will manage check-in/out, data collection, payments, insurance validation, scheduling, and referrals while delivering friendly, accurate service.

You will interact with patients and staff daily, applying medical terminology and billing knowledge to ensure a seamless experience. This role emphasizes clear communication and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service skills and basic understanding of insurance and billing terminology.
• High school diploma or GED required at hire.
• Minimum one year of relevant experience requested.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient intake processes and administrative duties.
• Interact with patients in person and by phone to check-in/out and schedule appointments.
• Collect data and payments, validate insurance, process referrals and authorizations.
• Counsel patients on their financial responsibilities and third-party coverage.
• Explain estimated patient charges with courtesy and clarity.
