Job summary

Qualifications

• Medical terminology preferred.
• 3 years of Patient Access Specialist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Registration information for the patient visit and obtaining patient demographics and third-party information.
• Assist in scheduling appointments and performing front office intake functions.
• Explain legal, ethical and compliance documents to patients at registration time.
• Maintain knowledge of HIPAA, JCAHO, payor policies and departmental procedures.
