Job summary

Denver Health is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to support the OMC Dental Clinic, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays. You will register patients, verify insurance, explain financial responsibilities, collect payments, and maintain accurate demographic data to support timely access to care.

You will collaborate with clinical and support teams, assist with same-day add-ons, and ensure compliance with HIPAA/EMTALA while delivering a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to register patients for outpatient services and manage encounters in the EHR.
• Explain financial responsibilities to patients and collect required payments.
• Collaborate with clinic leadership and staff to ensure smooth workflow and access to care.

Responsibilities

• Register and check in patients for outpatient services using approved ID processes.
• Explain financial responsibilities and collect payments; refer to financial counseling as needed.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to maintain clinic flow and address registration issues.
