Qualifications

• Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm.
• Flexibility and technical capacity required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• High school diploma or GED.
• A minimum of 6 months in a healthcare setting or 1 year in customer service.
• Basic understanding of insurance; medical terminology and billing codes preferred.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and write simple correspondence and present information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify demographics and insurance information.
• Answer phones, greet patients, and provide wayfinding at the front desk.
• Process visits by collecting payments and completing registration in the system.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; collect copayments and coinsurance.
• Perform clerical duties including copying, scanning, and filing.
• Maintain patient files and ensure a clean, professional front desk area.
• Follow HIPAA policies and company procedures at all times.
• Provide courteous, patient-centered service to patients and families.
