Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of clerical experience required.
• 1 year of medical business office or significant public contact preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding for Part B billables preferred.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Register patients expediently and collect accurate information.
• Schedule patient appointments for initial and follow-up visits and procedures.
• Update new patient information and medical records.
• Receive appointment calls and determine provider, length, and type of visit.
• Process payments and prepare cash reports at day’s end.
• Enter ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes into the data system daily.
• Transcribe non-medical dictation.
• Submit billing invoices to billing/collection daily.
• Assist with filing, faxing, and mailing of reports.
• Compile and submit month-end reports.
