• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field OR 5+ years of progressive patient access/revenue cycle experience.
• CRCR designation is highly preferred.
• Results-driven leadership with healthcare management experience and professional demeanor.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication, strong prioritization, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish measurable productivity metrics for registration and financial clearance sub-functions; partner with supervisors to achieve top-tier results.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing revenue cycle team with focus on engagement, training, retention, and satisfaction.
• Drive continuous optimization initiatives by implementing strong internal controls and leveraging technology across workflows.
• Support financial viability by driving patient financial engagement initiatives and ensuring clean front-end data for reimbursement.
• Cultivate collaboration with physicians, service line managers, and office staff; educate on regulatory changes affecting patient access.
• Oversee daily scheduling, payroll approvals, time-off requests, and overtime to maintain compliant operations.

Position Overview

The Patient Access Manager provides vital strategic direction, leadership, and operational management for the Registration, Financial Clearance, and Authorization teams across Southwoods Health - Including The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods and Triad Health Services.

In this role, you will design efficient workflows, establish performance benchmarks, and foster a culture of accountability and service excellence. You will ensure all front-end revenue cycle activities comply seamlessly with organizational policies, payer requirements, and federal/state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Excellence: Establish measurable productivity metrics and goals for registration and financial clearance sub-functions; partner with team supervisors to achieve and sustain top-tier results.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage, mentor, and build a high-performing revenue cycle team, focusing on high engagement, training, professional
• retention, and employee satisfaction.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous optimization initiatives by implementing strong internal managerial controls and leveraging modern technology across workflows.
• Financial Stewardship: Support the financial viability of Southwoods Health by driving patient financial engagement initiatives and ensuring clean front-end data to optimize reimbursement outcomes.
• Provider & Partner Collaboration: Cultivate strong collaborative relationships with physicians, clinical service line managers, and office personnel; provide ongoing education regarding regulatory changes in patient access.
• Administrative Management: Keep workflows up-to-date with evolving healthcare regulations; oversee daily staff scheduling, payroll approvals, time-off requests, and overtime tracking.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field OR 5+ years of progressive experience in patient access/revenue cycle management.
• Certification: Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) designation is highly preferred.
• Leadership Style: A results-driven leader with proven healthcare management experience and the ability to maintain a poised, professional demeanor at all times.
• Core Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication, sharp prioritization instincts, and expert time-management skills.
