Job summary

Westchester Medical Center is seeking a Manager, Patient Access to oversee the daily operations of pre-registration, insurance verification, scheduling, authorization and financial counseling for inpatient and outpatient services.

You will lead non-clinical staff, drive process improvements, coordinate across departments, and ensure patient and physician satisfaction through strategic staffing and policy implementation.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years supervisory experience in a hospital-based setting.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in experience.
• Experience coordinating patient access functions (registration, eligibility, benefits, authorizations).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily functions of pre-registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and financial counseling for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Lead non-clinical staff to optimize productivity and patient/physician satisfaction.
• Coach and develop direct reports; provide on-site leadership.
• Develop and implement processes to respond to patient and employee concerns; liaise with physician practices and support departments.
• Coordinate process improvement and monitor key performance metrics and accounts accuracy.
