Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Optum Insight unit in Maine seeks a Patient Access Manager to lead daily registration operations across Northern Light Health collaboration. The role focuses on patient safety, satisfaction, process improvement, and operational performance, with onsite responsibilities split between Maine Coast: Ellsworth and Blue Hill.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience leading a public-facing team of 15+ direct reports.
• 4+ years of experience with scheduling functionality, workflows, and performance benchmarks.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft applications, including the ability to train or support end users.
• Proven solid analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and communicate outcomes.
• Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to work variable hours based on team needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work onsite at either designated location: Maine Coast: 50 Union St., Ellsworth, ME and Blue Hill, 57 Water St. Blue Hill, ME

Responsibilities

• The Patient Access Manager leads registration workflow improvements, supports financial clearance strategies, and collaborates with Revenue Cycle partners to implement effective processes.
