Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet in Joliet, IL seeks a Lead Associate for the SJJIL Admitting team. The role oversees patient access operations, registers patients accurately, and supports revenue cycle through timely POS collections, while maintaining exceptional customer service.

The position is full-time with variable shifts (3pm-11:30pm, 7pm-3:30am, 11pm-7:30am) and requires leadership capabilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Extensive knowledge of Patient Access; CHAA preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.
• Very high attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth patient flow and quality registration.
• Maximize POS patient collections and outstanding customer service.
• Coordinate break and lunch coverage and staffing during volume fluctuations.
• Lead and serve as a resource on policies/procedures.
• Ensure departmental daily duties are completed under supervision.
• Model exemplary customer service and professional conduct.
