Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking an on-site Registration Specialist for the ED, focusing on patient arrival, discharge, and insurance validation. You will ensure accurate data entry and timely communication with patients and staff to support smooth admissions and billing workflows.

You will handle payment requests and payment plan information, resolve registration issues, and maintain professional service in waiting rooms and during patient departures.

Responsibilities

• Enter all cases accurately into admissions, discharge, transfer and billing systems.
• Provide customer service and status updates in waiting room, in-room, and before patient departure.
• Request payment and provide payment plan information for patient balances.
• Perform administrative tasks to ensure departmental policies and procedures are followed.
• Adhere to departmental guidelines for all assigned area functions.
